Mist drifting over layered pine-covered mountain ridges at dawn
Natural-light photography

Pine CraftHonest pictures, made slowly, out where the light is good.

Weddings, families, portraits and brands photographed outdoors — patiently composed, gently guided and delivered as a gallery you will want to keep returning to.

The approach

No stiff poses and no rushing the sunset. We walk, we talk, we wait for the moment the wind moves through the trees — and then we make the picture.

Sessions

Choose your kind of day

Every session is shaped around you, but most begin as one of these three.

01

Weddings & Elopements

From a two-person vow on a ridgeline to a full celebration in a forest clearing — documented calmly and without fuss.

  • Planning call and timeline guidance
  • Location and light recommendations
  • Private online gallery with print-ready files
02

Families & Portraits

Relaxed sessions for families, couples and individuals, timed for golden hour and paced for little ones.

  • Wardrobe and location notes before we meet
  • Gentle prompts instead of stiff posing
  • Hand-edited selection in a shareable gallery
03

Brands & Places

Imagery for makers, lodges and outdoor businesses that want their story told with the landscape in it.

  • Shot list shaped around how images will be used
  • People, product and place in one session
  • Web and print sizes, organised by use

Behind the lens

Made by hand, like good woodwork

Pine Craft started with a borrowed film camera and long weekends in the hills.

I still work the same way: arrive early, learn the light, and give people room to be themselves. I would rather make forty photographs you love than four hundred you scroll past.

Every image is chosen and edited by hand, with colour kept true to the place and the day — never trendy, always yours.

Process

From first note to final gallery

Four simple steps, with a real person replying at each one.

  1. Enquire

Share your date or season, the kind of session and a little about you.

  2. Plan

We talk through places, timing and what matters most to capture.

  3. Shoot

An unhurried session outdoors, guided gently and led by the light.

  4. Receive

Your hand-edited images arrive in a private gallery, ready to share and print.

Questions

Good to know

Anything not covered here is welcome in your enquiry.

What if the weather turns?

Mist, overcast skies and light rain often make the most atmospheric pictures. If conditions are unsafe, we simply reschedule together.

Do you travel for sessions?

Yes. Many sessions happen on trails, lakeshores and mountain roads. Travel details are agreed during planning.

How long until I see my photographs?

A few favourites are shared soon after the session, with the full hand-edited gallery following once editing is complete. Exact timing is confirmed when you book.

Will you help us with what to wear?

Absolutely. You will receive simple wardrobe notes suited to your location and season, focused on textures and colours that sit well in nature.
